LETTER: Our PCC polling cards were thrown away

In 2012, in my view the election of police and crime commissioners was farcical because of its record low turnout of 15 per cent and the cost of £75 million.'¨In my opinion, some PCCs jumped on the gravy train knowing nothing about policing, but the rewards were tempting.'¨The real power lies with chief constables, who have been doing the job for many years.'¨Along with my friends, our polling cards went in the waste bin.
