LETTER: Local artists put on a fantastic exhibition

May I, through Chad's readers' letters feature, send a heartfelt thank you to Lorraine Gill, chairman of the Mansfield Society of Artists (MSA) for inviting me and my wife to the opening of the group's 2016 annual exhibition at Mansfield Museum, ongoing until April 9. The art work on display was magnificent and varied with portraits, still life, coastal scenes, local scenes and my favourites the steam railway exhibits, all the work of people from the Mansfield local area. On the night, 11 presentations were made to members and each and everyone deserved the accolade, well done and thank you to all involved with the society. The curator of Mansfield Museum, Liz Weston, and her staff organised the exhibits on show into an exciting display, yet again enhancing the reputation of our town's museum. A a special thank you to them on behalf of all who were present.
