LETTER: Why is traffic so busy on an ordinary day?

I agree that the powers that be should review the traffic congestion around Nottingham Road. Not least the access to Sainsbury's, the Odeon and the bingo car parks, with access off Nottingham Road in Mansfield.

On Tuesday afternoon it was totally gridlocked and it took me a full hour to get out of there. I can understand this to a point at times like Christmas, but on an ordinary weekday afternoon it should not happen.

A friend who went to bingo after 6pm said it was still chaotic even then.
