As a resident in Selston I have been greatly concerned about our local councillor resigning her positions, at district, county and parish.
It is only five months since she was elected to the district council and she now decides to resign, causing the people of Ashfield great expense.
In the leaflet that I have received from the Independents they complain about Ashfield District Council’s spending plans and yet here we have a recently elected councillor who is now going to cost the Ashfield rate payers thousands of pounds.
I am concerned that the rate payers in Ashfield have not been told the whole truth on why this councillor has resigned. Perhaps the ex-councillor would like to put the record straight.
