LETTER: Put some heart into Bellamy Road estate community

I’m a new resident of the estate and although I can see good points, I can also see where it’s lacking, which is a shame.

In my view you can see that all the council did was blow their budget on the Oak Tree Estate.

I mean, is it just me or did all that money get spent on OakTree Lane just as Tesco moved in?

Which is great but what about Bellamy, now everyone on this estate is left with a ghost town.

There is just one shop for miles.

But there are some great elements to Bellamy, like down Old Newark Way. 
The countryside is on your doorstep.

I think the council needs to spend its money on decent amenities over here. Facing the right way would be a start. Get rid of the old-fashioned concrete blocks.

Put some heart into the community.

A decent park for the kids and a skateboard park for the teens. Stops them getting into trouble.
