LETTER: Election leaflet gives us no peace of mind

I've just had Theresa May's leaflet through the door. '¨The Conservative Party seems to be a minor consideration, vote for the person, don't bother about the party.

How do we know now what the best possible deal from Brexit is, how it will be, for whom is it the best?

How can the economy be growing after five years of austerity have resulted in my view in terrible inequality, a reduction of funding for the NHS and education, with the national debt still growing?

What is stability for Brexit and beyond, how can we judge stability by her pose/expression in the picture?

What difference does holding an election before EU leaders agree their position on negotiations make? The thing that makes most difference is attitude.

What misinformation is this - that Westminster is divided? All the votes so far have gone through with huge majorities.

Economic progress so it can benefit the British people — how? Unless all she means is the one per cent. Well-paid jobs when there has been a real decrease in spending power by ten per cent, while CEOs, MPs get ten per cent or more.

Affordable housing has been in the last two Tory manifestos and shows no sign of happening.
School - good places when teachers are demoralised and leaving, funding is reduced and teaching classes getting larger.

Staff morale and numbers in the NHS - far from strong. They’ve had seven years and what have they achieved, more people in employment through self-employment (25 per cent will fail in the first year) and zero hours.

Strong and stable - not from here, weak for not being able to work with the majority she has, afraid because the Labour proposals end the troughing by bankers and many of the rich, biased. Unstable? Probably judging by the reactions of the EU leaders to her but definitely unsure.

As for the picture of coalition of chaos showing Corbyn, Farron and Sturgeon looking like something out of New York in Planet of the Apes, at least the apes are in strong stable control.
