Members of the public will have the opportunity to put questions to the chairman and the board of directors at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Annual Members’ Meeting.
Held on Thursday 19 September from 4pm to 7pm in the King’s Mill Conference Centre at the hospital, the formal Annual Members’ Meeting will begin at 4.45pm and will end at 5.45pm, during which there will be a review of the past year and the setting out of future plans.
In addition to the formal meeting, the public are invited to attend from 4pm onwards to talk to staff and visit the marketplace of stands and interactive displays which include Newark Hospital’s new Fernwood Community Unit and Bramley Children’s Unit.
Due to the popularity of the Trust’s health talks, two will take place from 6pm to 7pm. The first, ‘healthy heart’ will be led by Dr Sennimalai Sankar, Consultant Cardiologist, and will be followed ‘thyroid conditions’ led by Professor Devaka Fernando, Mr Irfan Akhtar and Mr Keshav Nigam.
Chairman Sean Lyons said: “I am looking forward to meeting as many people as possible at our Annual Members’ Meeting and listening to their comments. I hope that people take the opportunity to meet our directors and ask questions.”
There are a limited number of places available and seats will be offered on a first come first served basis. Free car parking (car park nine only) and free refreshments will be available for the duration of the event.
