RESIDENTS enjoyed three ‘I Love Mansfield’ events in the town centre last week.

On Thursday, Chad columnist Rob ‘The Lazy Gardener’ gave hanging basket and herb garden demonstrations, as well as gardening tips - and he is pictured with Lisa Prince at his demonstration.

On Saturday Mansfield BID members gave away discount wristbands and badges to visitors, as well as I Love Mansfield canvas bags.

And on Monday there was a treasure hunt, with shoppers finding I Love Mansfield teddies hidden in town centre shops.

The wristbands entitle people to discounts and offers when visiting the town centre, for more details visit www.mansfieldtowncentre.co.uk or see ‘I Love Mansfield ‘ on Facebook. I Love Mansfield is organised by Mansfield BID on behalf of businesses and aims to reward shoppers who come into Mansfield - as well as encouraging more visitors to the town.

Visitors have been posting messages of love for the town on a giant heart and on Saturday prizes were given to some of those who posted: Clare Collins, Kirkby and Amanda Kirkham, Forest Town, won a voucher for a treatment at Nibble Me Foot Spa on Queen Street.

Mandy Oakland won a £10 voucher for Republic, Four Seasons Centre and Elaine Moore, of Warsop, won earrings from Vanity Box, Market Street.

The following won a box set of DVDs from Martin’s DVDs on Mansfield Market: Lindsey Miller, of Mansfield Woodhouse; Zena, of Blidworth; Lizzy Bacon, Mary Doubtfire, Katie Doughty and Jessica Power, of Mansfield.

Anyone wanting a badge or a wristband can pick one up from participating shops and businesses, Chad reception on Market Place, Four Seasons customer service desk, and the Town Hall 12.30 -1.30pm.
