Woman dies in Mansfield Woodhouse motorbike smash

A 48-year-old woman has died after a crash between a motorbike and two cars in Mansfield Woodhouse.

The woman, who has not been identified and was from Dronfield in Derbyshire, was travelling as the pillion passenger on a Suzuki bike when the collision occurred on Peafield Lane at around 7.15pm on Monday.

She and a 51-year-old man riding the bike were taken to King’s Mill Hospital, but she died from her injuries at 8pm.

The man is currently in a critical condition in intensive care.

The crash occurred when the motorcycle, travelling between Mansfield Woodhouse and Warsop Windmill, was in collision with a Kia Picanto and Rover.

No one else was injured in the incident and the road reopened at 11.40pm.
