Wednesday 28th May: Mansfield and Farnsfield community news

Mansfield Arena Church - The topic of fasting was expanded by Phil Pie. Phil emphasised that all styles of fasting are valid as long as we have the right motives. There are many different reasons why we are called to fast; there are as many examples in the bible of ordinary people doing extra-ordinary things when they did. As a church we are going to be fasting and praying for the community and individuals in and around Mansfield for 21 day starting the 9th of June. Please feel free to contact Arena Church with any questions on 0115 944 2996; alternatively come and see us Sunday evening 6pm.

Farnsfield Methodist Church - On Sunday morning David Witham led the service assisted by Marilyn House who also read lessons. It was ‘All age worship’ on the theme of ‘encouraging others’. The churches Music group played the music that accompanied the service. Church members attended an evening circuit service at Ollerton Methodist church,

The clubs next meeting at the Village centre on Friday 6th June will include a talk on ‘Dogs to help the disabled’.
