WARSOP MURDER TRIAL: Jury sent home for the weekend

A JURY in the trial of four people accused of murdering a Warsop dad have been sent home until Monday morning.

Charlotte Collinge (45) is accused of recruiting three men to kill her wealthy husband Cliff (61) on 8th October last year.

After more than five weeks of evidence, the jury of seven men and five women retired to consider their verdicts on Tuesday afternoon.

At 3pm on Thursday - 15 and a quarter hours into their deliberations - Judge Mr Justice Treacy sent the jury home until Monday morning as the court is not sitting on Friday.

The judge has not yet said he will accept majority verdicts where at least 10 members of the jury have made a decision.

Charlotte Collinge; Stephen Shreeves (40), of Laurel Avenue, Church Warsop; Kelvin Dale (27), of Forest Road, Warsop and Robert Proud (36), of Greendale Close, Warsop, all deny murder.
