Warsop murder inquiry: Two men released, four people still in custody - UPDATE 23.30pm

DETECTIVES late on Tuesday released two of the six people who have been arrested in the murder inquiry into the death of Warsop man Cliff Collinge (61).

Mr Collinge was found dead at his home in Sandy Lane, Warsop, shortly after 10pm on Saturday evening.

Three men and a woman were arrested on Sunday and another two men held on Monday. Four of the men and the woman are from Warsop, aged between 26 and 44. Also in custody was a 20-year-old man from Mansfield Woodhouse.

However, late on Tuesday evening police said that two of the men had been released from custody. Earlier in the evening detectives had announced that their inquiry into ‘a suspicious death’ was now being treated as a murder investigation.

A post-mortem examination on Monday has proved inconclusive and further tests will be carried out to establish the exact cause of Mr Collinge’s death..

Officers are conducting house-to-house enquiries in the area and are asking for anyone with further information about the incident to speak to police.
