Detectives investigating an arson attack which left a flat badly damaged have released footage of a group of the people they want to speak to about the fire.

Police and firefighters were called to a flat in High Street, Alfreton, at around 5pm on Saturday, December 12.

Someone had set fire to a wheeled bin in an alleyway between two buildings and the flames and smoke had spread to the flat directly above, causing a significant amount of damage.

No one was in the flat at the time.

Officers have now released footage of four people – three men and a woman – seen walking past the alleyway shortly before the fire.

Anyone with information should call DC Ross O’Brien on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
