Devastated family and friends of a man who died in a motorcycle crash in Sutton last week have left dozens of tributes on a social network site.
Michael Reynolds (33), who lived in Kirkby but whose family are from Sutton, was killed when his blue Yamaha motorbike left the road and collided with a wall on Alfreton Road last Monday (22nd July).
He was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre but later died of his injuries.
A Facebook tribute page has been set up, with messages of sadness and condolence left by those who knew him.
Some simply say ‘rest in peace’, while others state how much he is going to be missed.
Jodie Dexter said: “Gutted, a lovely lad and a lovely friend has been taken away way too early...so so sad.”
Tanya Dean left the message: “Another taken away way too soon. Gone but never forgotton. RIP Michael Reynolds. Fly high angel.”
Another message, from Joanne Chapman Newby, reads: “Rip Michael, I’ve known you for some years - a cheeky chap with a cheeky smile. How your family will find the strength to get through tomorrow and the future without you I will never know, my thoughts are with your family xx.”
Michael’s funeral is taking place tomorrow morning at Mansfield Crematorium.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned at Nottingham Coroner’s Court on Monday.
