Traffic problems are building up in the Mansfield and Ashfield area as motorists make their way home from work this Friday afternoon.

There is stationary and queuing traffic in Sutton town centre, with affected roads including Lammas Road, Outram Street, Mansfield Road and Dalestorth Street.

Delays in this area are likely.

In Mansfield, traffic is queuing on Little Carter Lane heading southwards and around the Chesterfield Road South and Rosemary Street junction.

There are problems in Mansfield Woodhouse around the A60 Leeming Lane South and there are queues on New Mill Lane and Albert Street.

There is stationary traffic on Church Hill travelling eastwards towards Welbeck Road and Warsop Road.

Traffic is heavy in the usual hotspot around Sherwood Park in Annesley, heading up Derby Road towards Kirkby.

Sutton Road in Kirkby towards the A38 is busy and the A38 is slow in places heading towards King’s Mill Hospital from Sutton.

The M1 northbound has slow and queuing traffic heading towards the roadworks section.
