DERBYSHIRE Trusted Trader has revamped its website, making it even easier for people to find traders they can trust.

Now customers searching for a business using the Derbyshire County Council scheme can check out what other folk have said about traders they might want to call.

All sorts of useful information is now available online about quality of work, punctuality and whether traders offer good value – plus a mark out of five.

The website now makes it possible to carry out more detailed searches to find traders even closer to where a customer lives.

It also carries more information about each businesses – all of which helps customers make the right decision.

Coun Kevin Parkinson, the council’s cabinet member for regeneration, said: “Trusted Trader now has more than 1,200 members so should be the first port of call for anyone wanting work doing.

“The new-look website gives customers the opportunity to find out even more information about traders.

“A good recommendation may help people pick the right trader from our list.”

Derbyshire Trusted Trader was set up to help give local folk confidence finding traders they can trust and to boost local businesses.

On the list are builders, plumbers, roofers, glazers, electricians, decorators, joiners, gardeners and many more.

Council leaders say they believe the scheme gives peace of mind because every business by the authority’s trading standards team.
