A tireless teen who has raised cash for the Royal British Legion has been awarded for her efforts.

Saskia Clarkson (13) has helped raise more than £3,170 for the Warsop, Meden Vale and District branch and received a certificate of appreciation from branch chairman Brian Marples.

The Manor Academy pupil is the sister of tragic soldier Ashley Clarkson (23), who committed suicide in 2012 after suffering from PTSD.

Ashley and Saskia’s father, Wayne, said: “We are really proud of Saskia and all the work she as put into doing this charity work so people can know what a fantastic brother she had, and that she will keep his memory alive.”
