Four colleagues decided to brave the shave together and raise cash for Macmillan after one of their wives was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Neil Marshall, Joe Hartshorne, Mark Nicholson and Danny Baugh, who all work for the service team at Pentagon Vauxhall, Mansfield, were all sponsored to have their heads shaved.
The team decided to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support after Neil’s wife, Gillian, was diagnosed with breast cancer and lost her hair as a result of treatment.
Neil said: “I can’t thank the other lads enough for being brave and shaving with me.
“My wife was so overwhelmed and we’re really touched with all the support we’ve been given.
“I’m so grateful for all donations we have received so far, MacMillan is a charity that is close to our hearts, so we’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed and helped us.”
Macmillan Cancer Support has grown to become the largest cancer care and support charity in the UK.
Macmillan offers help to not only those battling cancer, but also those who are in any way affected by cancer.
The team aim to raise £400 for MacMillan Cancer Support.
