RESIDENTS will be able to support talented performers at the finals of this year’s Sutton’s Got Talent final.
The event will take place on Friday at New Cross Community Hall, on Downing Street, at 7pm and has been sponsored by New Cross Community Shop.
During the evening, 30 hopefuls will be showcasing their skills in a variety of disciplines including singing, dancing and variety.
The panel of judges will include John Tattershall, who is Arts Officer of Ashfield District Council, John Burrows from Mansfield Theatre Company Studio 86 and Hayley Radford, Community Officer at Sutton’s Asda store.
Everyone is competing for a cash prize of £75 along with a trophy and there are runner-up cash prizes also up for grabs.
Children and Families Worker at New Cross Julie Cotterill, who has organised this year’s event, said: “We hope that by hosting Sutton’s Got Talent it will give members of the local and wider community an opportunity to build their confidence and skills and show off their many talents in a happy and vibrant environment.”
Anyone is welcome to attend the event and admission is £1 for adults and 50p for children, with refreshments available. All proceeds go towards the community work carried out by New Cross Community Church.
