SUTTON Rambling Club will continue its programme of summer walks with a walk through Derbyshire’s Peak District on Sunday.
The 11-mile walk will begin at Sparrowpit and the route includes open moorland, farm tracks, woodland as well as the Peak Forest Canal.
In the morning, walkers will go past Rushop Hall through open countryside to Royce Clough Ford and towards South Head.
The final section of this part of the walk goes to the village of Hayfield where ramblers will be able to have lunch.
In the afternoon there will be a steady walk along the Sett Valley Trail and into New Mills.
The walk will finish in the town of Whaley Bridge and the coach will depart at 6.30pm.
A spokesman for the group said: “We are always very pleased to welcome new members to the club.
“An enjoyable day offering healthy exercise, attractive scenery and friendly company can be guaranteed.”
A coach will leave the Staff of Life pub on Hack Lane in Sutton at 9.15am.
People can also be picked up at Stockwell Gate (near Asda) at 9.30am and there are other pick-up points on the way.
The coach costs £9, while accompanied juniors are free and it is not necessary to book a coach place.
