A war veteran who emailed his former partner after a restraining order was imposed was brought back to court.

Darren Lee Moss (33) of Tudor Street, Sutton, could not remember sending the emails, but admitted the charge. One sent was blank, the other just had the letter ‘X’ typed onto it.

Mansfield magistrates heard how the pair were in a relationship for four months and his ex-partner described him as being possessive, resulting in the original order.

Defending, Simon McKay, said his client was suffering from PTSD after serving in Iraq and admitted it must have been distressing for his ex-partner to be contacted.

He was told to pay a total of £145 in fines and costs and given the supervision order for 12 months.
