A man who took his partner’s car and was chased by police of speeds up to 80mph before ploughing into wall will be sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court.

Paul Robert Lilliman (25) of Carsic Road, Sutton, admitted aggravated vehicle taking, driving dangerously and driving without a licence and insurance.

He had taken the Peugeot 206 in the early hours of 26th November because he was bored.

A police patrol car began following him when they became suspicious and flashed him to pull over. But he failed to stop as they chased him along Mansfield Road before he eventually lost control near Mansfield town centre and hit a wall. He ran off but was later arrested. He is due to be sentenced on 7th January.
