A SUTTON bus driver has been named Driver of the Year for trentbarton.
Hardworing Kevin Wood, who works on the 141 route between Mansfield and Nottingham scooped the accoldate during a special ceremony during a gala dinner at the Crowne Plaza in Nottingham.
In addition to the trophy, Kevin also received holiday vouchers worth £1,000 and an extra days paid holiday every year. He has been with trent barton since 2003.
Kevin, who was up against 11 other contenders who had taken the Driver of the Month title during 2010, won thanks to his ‘naturally cheerful and helpful approach, his infectious smile and smooth driving style.’
And it was Kevin’s Sutton colleague. Kylie Pike. who lifted the Runner-up prize.
Kylie can regularly be seen on rainbow 3 service.
Speaking after the ceremony trentbarton’s managing director Jeff Counsell, said: “Kevin’s dedication to customer service has really shone through and I’m delighted to see his good work rewarded.
