More loved-up couples got married this Valentine’s Day than in previous years.

A staggering 33 couples tied the knot - and one of those were happy Sutton couple Sean and Michelle Moore.

But they decided to push the boat out and have ELEVEN bridesmaids.

Michelle, is the manageress of the White Room Beauty Parlour in Sutton - but they had to close for the day as nine of the lovely bridesmaids work at the salon.

She also turned up in a VW camper van to attend the wedding at Mansfield Registration Office

Michelle (48), of Woodlands Way, said it started out as a joke but then the tongue-in-cheek suggestion never subsided.

She said: “all the girls joked about it at first then it got to the stage where we were ordering dresses. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.”

Sean’s daughter Chelsea and Michelle’s nieces Laura and Chloe were also bridesmaids.

This wasn’t the only unique thing about the couple’s wedding - it was Chelsea Football Club themed.

There were cut out players and guests were asked to wear player masks ready for when the couple turned around

Sean (54) said: “It was amazing seeing all the beautiful bridesmaids, it was like walking into a Miss World competition.”

The pair had a honeymoon in Paris - to watch the Chelsea team take on Paris Saint-Germain F.C.

Their ‘Just Married’ banner was even picked up by ITV cameras during the game and shown on the channel.

Councillor Glynn Gilfoyle, chair of Nottinghamshire County Council’s community safety committee, said: “As the day fell on a Saturday this year the number of weddings booked is even higher than usual.”
