Summer activities for kids

POLICE beat team members in Alfreton have organised a host of activities for kids to take part in during the summer holiday.

The free activities are going ahead after funding was secured.

There will be multi-sports sessions - including cricket, rounders, football and golf - on Wednesdays from 9.30am-12.30pm and Fridays from 2pm-5pm at the Welfare Park on Grange Street for ages 10-16. 

Football sessions will be held on Mondays from 5-6pm for 4-11-year-olds and from 6-7pm for 12-17-year-olds, also on the Welfare Park. 

Street Dance will take place on Tuesdays from 6.30pm-7.30pm for 6-11-year-olds and from 7.30pm-8.30pm for 12-17-year-olds at the Genesis Centre on King Street, for a small charge.
