Stay of execution for campaigners fighting housing plans for Hucknall’s Papplewick Lane
Campaigners fighting to stop a housing development at land off Papplewick Lane, Hucknall, are celebrating a stay of execution.
At Gedling Council’s planning meeting last night, plans for 300 homes and community facilities, including a primary school, were expected to be recommended by the planning committee.
However, at the eleventh hour, the decision was deferred after a ‘very late’ representation from the Environment Agency.
