A YELLOW warning for snow across the East Midlands has been issued by the Met Office for Sunday night.
A band of snow has been spreading northwards across parts of southeastern and eastern England throughout today and was expected to reach the Nottinghamshire area sometime during the evening.
Forecasters said that it could bring accumulations of 2-5 cm snow to some areas.
Residents are being warned of the risk of disruption to travel, particularly during the Monday morning rush hour.
No school closures are currently in place, but parents are advised to keep checking the Nottinghamshire County Council website for updates.
