SNOWWATCH: Ice warning for Saturday 19th January

THE snow continues to cause disruption across Nottinghamshire today but county council gritters are out in force to keep the roads usable.

All 23 Nottinghamshire County Council gritters are out today and overnight as the Met Office has released a yellow warning for ice in the area.

All A and B roads are being gritted, as are major bus routes.

Trent Barton bus services are currently operating full services in Mansfield and Ashfield with the exception of the 141 in the Sutton area, which is now serving Carsic and Healdswood Estate, but not Barbara Square.

Stagecoach bus services are operating as normal except for:

• Service 1 - Not operating via Cross Lane at Huthwaite

• Service 11 - Not operating via Old Village at Meden Vale

• Service 12 - Not operating via Church Drive/Field Drive in Shirebrook

• Service 14/15 - Not serving Henton Road in Edwinstowe or Hop Pole in Ollerton

East Midlands Train services are operating normally.

The libraries in Sutton and Bilsthorpe are closed today due to the weather, while the performing arts academies at Brunts Academy in Mansfield and Minster School in Southwell were also shut.

Newstead Abbey and its grounds are closed today.
