Six people charged in connection with robbery at Titchfield Park

SIX people arrested in connection with a robbery at a Mansfield park at the weekend have been charged.

A mobile phone and wallet were stolen from a 26-year-old man who sustained extensive facial injuries in the attack.

It happened near to the basketball court in Titchfield Park, off Nottingham Road, at around 10pm on Saturday.

The victim remains in King’s Mill Hospital in a stable condition.

Ben Grimmer (21), Kaleta Haughton (20), Steven Hollingsworth (19), two 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl, all from Commercial Gate, in Mansfield, have been charged with robbery.

They are all due to appear at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).

An 18-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of handling stolen goods. He was issued with a caution.
