A man who was stopped by police and found to be carrying a knuckle duster has been jailed.
Wayne Evans (28) was stopped in his car by officers on Alder Way, Shirebrook, on 22nd March.
They found a knuckle duster in the car and Evans was arrested and charged with having an offensive weapon.
Evans, of Hillcrest, Shirebrook, pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to four months in prison.
He was given a further four months for breaching a suspended sentence imposed in March 2012 for production of cannabis.
He was sentenced at a hearing at Derby Crown Court on Friday 3rd May.
