Shirebrook Brass play for charity

Shirebrook Miners Welfare Unison Brass Band are set to bring Shirebrook alive with an evening of top class entertainment in aid of Bolsover District Council’s chairman, coun Ken Walker’s charity, Prostate Cancer.

Taking place at the Sports Direct Auditorium in Shirebrook on Friday 10th October, the concert will start at 7.30pm and cost £5 per person.

Bolsover District Council Chairman, coun Ken Walker said, “The Shirebrook Miners Welfare Unison Brass Band were wonderful when they accompanied the Halle Orchestra back in July as part of the world premiere ‘Shirebrook – A Living Heritage’ so if you didn’t catch them then, this is a perfect opportunity to see what you missed!

“All the proceeds go towards a very worthwhile charity, Prostate Cancer, so please come along with friends and family to support a noble cause.”
