HEALTH bosses have paid tribute to staff at King’s Mill Hospital after it was nominated for three coveted nursing awards.
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - which runs King’s Mill - has been shortlisted in the Emergency and Critical Care; Continence Promotion and Care and Learning Disabilities Nursing categories in the prestigious Nursing Times Awards 2011.
The awards celebrate the nursing profession and help to ensure nurses are recognised and rewarded for work which raises the standard of nursing practice and healthcare.
Said trust chief executive, Carolyn White: “Our staff are totally committed to doing the very best for their patients, so it is fantastic to see them receiving such recognition for their dedication an innovation from national nursing awards such as these.
“The fact that we have been shortlisted for awards in three different categories is excellent news and testamount to the fantastic efforts of our staff.”
The winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony at London’s Hilton Hotel on 2nd November.
