Selston’s Tin Hat Community Centre celebrates 10th birthday

STAFF and volunteers at Selston’s TIn Hat Community Centre will celebratd the facility’s 10th birthday on Saturday.

To mark the occasion, a Christmas fayre will be held which featured a number of stall as well as food and refreshements.

Ashfield MP Gloria De Piero will also given a tour of the popular community facility. The event will run from 10am to 2pm.

The Tin Hat Centre is currently home to a Nottinghamshire Police Community Contact Point, a community cafe, an IT suite equipped with extensive IT facilities, which includes free wi-fi throughout the centre. All facilities are are available to hire.

The Tin Hat Centre also provides various courses for the community including First Aid, Food Hygiene, Flower Arranging, Tai Chi and a variety of IT courses ran by West Notts College.
