SUTTON entertainer Scott Dee will be given the opportunity of a lifetime to perform in front of pop legend Engelbert Humperdinck in Las Vegas later this month.
Engelbert will be presented with his own ‘Star’ on the Las Vegas ‘Walk of Fame’ alongside other world-renowned music greats on 20th July.
Las Vegas is paying tribute to the singer’s career with the city’s mayor declaring 20th July as ‘Engelbert Humperdinck Day’.
To celebrate, Scott, an Engelbert tribute act, will perform in front of an audience of celebrities, fans and Engelbert himself.
Scott said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be given the opportunity to perform in front of my hero. I still can’t quite believe it!”
The opportunity arose after Scott Dorsey, Engelbert’s manager, visited a website designed by CNS Media, which is also Scott’s PR Agents.
Paul Chadbourne, a friend of Scott’s from CNS Media, said: “We’re delighted to be involved in such a wonderful feel - good story. We’re all thrilled the site has delivered such a positive outcome for Scott.”
After the Las Vegas gig, Scott can be seen in a local performance, at Teversal Grange on 16th September.
