A Mansfield couple and their dog will be rolling some 77 miles to Skegness on their mobilty scooters.

Scooter-loving Carol and John Palmer, of Newgate Lane, will rev their engines for the two and a half day journey for charity on 5th September.

The pair and their Yorkshire Terrier, Tess, will stay in Skegness for a week before returning on 14th September. They are raising money for RNLI on the way down and Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance on the way back. The pair thanked Parkgate Mobility for sponsoring them. Mrs Palmer has already racked up 260 miles on her scooter.
