Pupils hosted a tea party where members of the community were invited in to their Mansfield school for tea and sandwiches.
It was part of a business enterprise project in which year eight pupils from Samworth Academy were challenged to come up with an idea to benefit local people.
Teacher Rebecca Leeney, felt the tea party had been a great success both for the guests and the students.
She said: “I think the students did a great job of organising and running stalls at the tea party.
“They interacted with the guests really well and really impressed me with their maturity and enterprising attitudes.”
