A team of Gothic bikers braved driving rain and high winds to deliver East eggs to elderly folk across the region.

More than 20 riders saddled up to drop off the chocolate treats to the Church Street Care Home in Warsop, then The Grange Nursing Home in Shirebrook, before stopping their last destination, Langwith Lodge Residential Home in Langwith.

Delivered 70 eggs in total, they were donated by several local businesses, including The Gate Hotel in Langwith, Whaley Service Station and Shirebrook Motorcycles.

With a surplus left over, they will complete another run on Sunday to deliver the remainder to patients at King’s Mill Hospital.
