HOUSEHOLDERS in Pleasley Hill turned out in force to view plans by three developers competing to breathe new life into the area.
Mansfield District Council wants the area to be transformed to replace run-down housing on Chesterfield Road North and create an employment site off the MARR road.
The authority has appointed Meden Valley Making Places (MVMP) to lead the proposals, which organised a workshop for local people to give their views on plans by the developers.
Chief executive Gary Kirk said: "The event was a great success and was just one of a number of opportunities for local residents to get involved in shaping future plans for Pleasley Hill."
The developers competing for the project are Bellway Homes, Keepmoat and a joint venture company called Jam, which includes Strata Homes and Urbo Regeneration.
Residents' views will shape the final proposals of developers, which will be submitted for consideration in February.
