ALFRETON folk concerned about plans for a housing development on land at Outseats Farm can have their say at a public meeting at Alfreton Community Hall on 14th March at 7pm.
Town council leader Scott Walker and residents of the nearby Birchlands estate are among those opposing the scheme, which would see 500 new houses built on green field land.
Coun John Brown, chairman of the town council’s planning committee, said: “This is an important and complex application which has raised considerable local interest.
“The town council wants to represent the views of local people to Amber Valley Borough Council who are the planning authority in this matter.
“The town council wants to hear all shades of local opinion.”

Guidance notes will be provided for anyone who registers to speak and to those who attend the meeting.
The closing date for registering an interest to speak at the meeting is noon on 9th March.
