RAILWAY BRIDGE COLLAPSE: Latest advice from East Midlands Trains

There is major disruption on the rail network today after a bridge collapsed on the Nottingham to London St Pancras line.

It is not expected that the line will re-open today after the partial collapse of the bridge at Barrow upon Soar.

Trains are currently not able to run between Loughborough and LeicesteR, so there are no direct trains between London St Pancras and stations north of Leicester, including Nottingham. There will be severe disruption and a significantly reduced service running between Leicester and London St Pancras.
