Queen Elizabeth Academy students back Jigsaw’s fundraising at Sainsbury’s
Students at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy in Mansfield have responded to Jigsaw’s appeal to help with their fundraising event on Thursday 20th September.
Twenty six students will be helping to pack customers shopping in return for a donation to Jigsaw Support Scheme, Sainsbury’s local charity partner for 2012.
Principal of Queen Elizabeth’s Mike Smith said: “Queen Elizabeth’s is creating partnerships with a range of community groups to offer students experiences which benefit our students and the wider community of Mansfield.”
“An event like this does exactly that and we are happy to help this very worthy local cause. Students will be fundraising for Jigsaw throughout the year. Jigsaw will be contributing to the delivery of our Health and Social Care programme as an expert in the field.”
If you’re interested in volunteering for Jigsaw or would like more information, pop along to Sainsburys on Thursday to find out more or call 01623 662200.
