VENTRILOQUIST Paul Zerdin is paying a visit to Mansfield Palace Theatre in November with Puppet Master - a spectacular new show full of surprises, twists and turns.
The world-renowned artist has taken ventriloquism to new heights and his shows have more than three million hits on YouTube so far.
Paul has already received critical acclaim for his Edinburgh Festival hit show Sponge Fest which he toured extensively in 2010/11 and with Puppet Master, he is expected to repeat that success.
With the introduction of a new character, out of work TV presenter Alasdair Rimmer, who will be taking charge of MC duties on the tour, Puppet Master will see Paul adding a whole new dimension to the phrase ‘audience participation’.
Paul has already receivedcritical acclaim for combining a winning combination of technical skill, hilarious ventriloquism, charm and impeccable comic timing.
His live shows see him bring to life several very different characters – the cheeky pre-pubescent Sam, senior citizen Albert, and the demanding and precocious infant Baby.
From Royal Variety Performances to comedy festivals around the globe, Paul Zerdin is constantly breaking new ground in his shows all of which has established him as the Puppet Master.
“I see myself as a one man Muppet sitcom, reining the characters in,” said Paul.
“The old man has a thing for the ladies and so does Sam who is about to become a teen and knows naughty words.
“Between the two of them they lead the baby astray and the baby, of course, wants to know everything.
“It is important to have characters that people can relate to rather than, say, talking sheep which are less believable.”
The show takes place on 3rd November at 7.30pm, tickets are priced at £15 and can be bought by calling Mansfield 633133.
