Children were left ‘buzzing’ after picking up £3,000 for winning the Four Seasons Shopping Centre’s Shop For Schools competition.

Pupils from Wynndale Primary in Mansfield were on hand to receive the money from Buzz, the Four Seasons’ summer kids club mascot, and is the second consecutive year they have picked up the top prize.

Thirty schools across Ashfield and Mansfield took part in the annual promotion, supported by Chad, with runners-up Farmilo Primary School from Pleasley, claiming the second prize of £1,000.

The competition encouraged families to exchange shopping receipts for points for their school.

Rebekah O’Neill, centre manager at the Four Seasons said: “We were delighted with the response from this year’s Shop for Schools campaign and would like to thank everyone for their support.

“With over 70,000 points collected for Wynndale Primary, I can’t wait to see the brand new iPad technology their well–deserved cash prize will go towards. This is a completely new initiative for the school and the £3,000 will definitely help in getting them started.

“A huge well done to both shoppers and participating schools!”
