The pulling power of Chad’s Facebook page has helped solve a dilemma for parents keen to watch their daughters play at Twickenham, home of English rugby.
The under-15 girls’ rugby team at Ashfield School in Kirkby are set to reach the final of a national competition, which will be played before the annual Army v Navy challenge match at Twickenham on Saturday.
However, that match is a sell-out, meaning that no tickets were available for the mums and dads of the Ashfield players.
One mum, Natalie Fleet (30), contacted Chad for help. And after our story was posted on Facebook, she was inundated with offers of tickets to watch daughter Elodie (14). She has now got hold of five!
One offer came from former Sutton woman Fern Flynn (31), whose husband Robert (30) is a sergeant in the Royal Horse Artillery and has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. They now live in Hampshire, but Fern is a Facebook friend of Chad and used her Army contacts to acquire two tickets.
