POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car was involved in collisions with three other vehicles in Kirkby.

The incidents happened at around 1.45pm on Tuesday 9th April after a grey Renault Clio, that had travelled from the Larch Farm area of the A60, was in collision with a red Ford Fiesta on Diamond Avenue and then a blue Vauxhall Meriva on Sherwood Street.

The Clio consequently set alight.

An 82-year-old woman, who was in the Meriva, was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Clio suffered minor injuries after colliding with a police car attending the incident.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and bailed.

The incident was referred to the Force’s Professional Standards Department due to the involvement of a police vehicle.

If you saw the crash or the car as it travelled from the A60 contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
