Police renew appeal for witnesses to Hucknall hit and run to come forward

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses after a hit and run incident on Hucknall High Street.

New images showing the aftermath of a collision have been released in the hope that more people will come forward.

The images show the metallic grey saloon car as it left High Street, near the junction of Duke Street, just after 1.20am on Sunday 16th March 2014.

The car had been involved with a collision with a woman and had failed to stop. It then continued towards Watnall Road.

A short time earlier the female victim had been involved in an altercation with a man in Wollaton Street.

The driver of the saloon is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, of stocky build with a bald or shaven head.

The victim, who is in her 20s, was carried along on the car’s bonnet and sustained minor injuries. She was taken to hospital but is now recovering at home.

The car may have sustained damage to the bonnet or doors.

Police would like to speak to a number of people who were in the area at the time of the incident, including several people who helped the victim.
