Police appeal for information after Alfreton bar attack

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted at a bar in Alfreton.

It happened between 7.30 and 8pm on Friday, 23rd December at the King Alfred pub on High Street.

The 36-year-old local man had been in the bar with his girlfriend and her 14-year-old daughter when he was allegedly approached by a man who punched him in the head and face.

He suffered cuts and bruising and received treatment at King’s Mill Hospital.

The offender is described as white, well built and with a bald head. He had been wearing a light coloured top.
