A PLEASLEY Vale man has produced a BBC arts programme which airs on Sunday evening and features Portland College and Welbeck Abbey.
Hidden Paintings of the East Midlands has been produced by Andy Abrahams and will see presenter Dan Snow go in search of the intriguing stories behind the works - including two canvases hanging on the wall of Portland.
Said BBC head of programming for English Regions, Craig Henderson: “The range and quality of publically-owned paintings on our doorstep is truly fascinating, and you find them in all sorts of unusual places. We hope our ‘Hidden Paintings’ films will inspire people to go and see the paintings they own across England, and discover much more via the BBC website.”
The programme will be broadcast on BBC One (East Midlands) at 10.25pm on Sunday.
