Pensioner critical after Forest Town crash

A PENSIONER suffered serious head and facial injuries after an incident involving a white van in Forest Town on Tuesday afternoon.

The 76-year-old was walking in Old Mill Lane at its junction with Ellesmere Road when he was in collision with the Citroen at around 5.20pm.

His condition is described as ‘critical but stable’.

The van driver, a 43-year-old man, was uninjured.
