There is something for everyone in Nottinghamshire County Council libraries with a packed programme of events taking place each week.

There are an estimated 7,000 events which are hosted in libraries across the county each year, there are craft activities for children, talks about varying topics to interest all ages, and regular clubs and topical sessions.

Here are just some of the activities which are taking place at libraries in the next fortnight in the county. Mansfield Woodhouse Library: Tuesday September 22, from 4pm to 5pm, Homework Club – Bring your homework to the library and let our staff help you.

Thursday September 24, from 11am to midday, Crafty corner for Adults – bring along your craft project and socialise with other course members.

Worksop Library: Friday September 25, from midday and 1pm. Cost, £6. Join crime author David Belbin as he talks about his critically-acclaimed Bone and Cane series, set in Nottingham and full of mystery and intrigue.

Saturday, September 26, from 10am to 1pm, cost £6, Getting Your Writing Out There with Nottingham Writers’ Studio – Join Nottingham Writers’ Studio to look at how you can find opportunities and markets for your writing, such as competitions and magazines. Plus, get tips on how to prepare your work for submission. Booking essential at the library.
